Linked evidence from documents and policies
See how supporting documents and policies automatically appear as evidence against the Standards outcomes they support.
Every supporting document and policy you upload does double duty: as well as living in its own area, it automatically appears as linked evidence against the Standards outcomes it supports. That means your audit picture stays complete without re-entering anything, and there's nothing extra to do here.
Note Linked evidence is read-only in the Standards area. These items are owned by the Supporting Documents and Policies areas, so you manage them from there, not from the outcome.
Where it appears
On an outcome's Evidence tab (in the Compliance area), supporting documents and policies show up as evidence items for the outcomes they're mapped to. The person who uploaded the file is shown as the author. The mappings come from the government tools and can't be changed here.

How to tell where an item came from
Each linked evidence item carries a Category and a Document type:
- AECT supporting document: added at provider level.
- CDECT supporting document: added at service level.
- Document type: the name of the supporting document, or the policy name.
Supporting information
The supporting information shown on each item depends on its source:
- AECT items use a standard line: "This document is required for the Audit Evidence Collection Tool (AECT)."
- CDECT items show the full description for that document type, sourced from the government CDECT file. For a workforce list, for example, this means the required names, roles, employment type, interpreter needs and contact details.

Managing a linked item
Because these items live elsewhere, the evidence card shows a Manage button (not Edit) in the bottom-right. Selecting it takes you to the item's source area (Supporting Documents or Policies), where you can replace, archive or update it. Any change flows straight back to the outcome.
